The LANCO Travel Team program is a competitive travel team. GSYSC teams are competing in the highly competitive Lanco travel league. For experienced, aggressive, serious players. One weekend game and two practices each week, 1-2 weekend tournaments per season. Try-outs required for new players. Before playing at this level of play GSYSC recommends you read the following rules that apply to all children playing in this level of play. (These rules are rules provided to the GSYSC by EPYSA) GSYSC and other teams participating in this level of play are sanction by Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association. Rules and regulations from both LANCO and EPYSA must be followed by the club, coaches and players. Players must provide a qualified proof of age as required by EPYSA in order to play. (See rule 204 below for details.) Any player registered to a team is bound to that team for the entire seasonal year unless he/she requests a release. (July to July) After registering in the LANCO League No player may transfer to a second team during the seasonal year without first obtaining a release from the first team. Each team shall be limited to a total of five (5) transferred players per seasonal year. (July to July) Any player registered to a team is bound to that team for the entire seasonal year unless he/she requests a release; in the case of the recreational program the seasonal year is defined by the affiliate’s program. A request for release shall be submitted to the affiliated in writing on the appropriate form. A player may be released from a team involuntarily only if the player is unable to play for one or more of the following reasons: a. The player has violated bylaws, policies, or requirements of US Soccer, the State Association, or the member of the State Association through whom the player is registered. b. The player has moved beyond a reasonable travel distance. c. The player is injured in such a manner that the player will not be able to participate for the remainder of the season. To affect the release, the coach must complete and sign an E.P.Y.S.A. Player/Team Status Form stating one of the above reasons. A request for release for a player may be denied if the player owes money, uniforms or any other obligation to their club or team. EPYSA rules state No team, club, coach or player or any other person may approach a registered player to leave his club. A player may register with more than one team during the same registration year. At initial registration, the player must declare the team on which he/she will have primary status. The player will be considered a secondary player on any and all other teams with which the player registers, provided the proper paperwork is completed. a. (Responsibility) - Any player registered to more than one (1) team must participate in the game played by the team with which the player is a primary player in order to qualify him/herself as a player on the team to which he/she is registered as a secondary player if both or all teams have games scheduled on the same day. b. (Exception) A secondary player may be granted written permission to participate in non-league games/tournaments with a team on which the player has secondary status by the coach of the team, which the player has primary status, providing both teams are not in the same competition. False Registration Any team playing a player who is over-age (for the current season) shall forfeit the game(s) in which that player takes part.

Players’ Contract
Players representing GSYSC have a level of accountability that should be encouraged and enforced by parent or guardian.
As a player representing GSYSC, I will pledge to:
- Exercise good sportsmanship.
- Play as a team, not as an individual.
- Show respect toward coaches, team members, opposing team members, fans and referees.
- Respect all Club equipment, especially jerseys that must be returned at the end of a playing season and launder jerseys prior to their return.
- Notify my coach if I cannot attend a practice or a game. Understand that failure to attend practices could result in reduced playing time during a game.

Parents’ Contract:
It is critical for parents to be involved in their children’s activities. The level of involvement will vary from parent to parent. However, it is important to understand that even the smallest level of involvement is significant to both the child and the Club.
As a parent representing a GSYSC player, I will pledge to:
- Become more involved in Club and team activities.
- Reinforce to my child, the importance of his or her attendance at practice, as well as, games.
- Contact the coach if my child is unable to attend a practice or a game.
- Ensure my child arrives at practice and games on time, wearing appropriate soccer gear.
- Ensure my child has water for practices and for games.
- Ensure my child is picked up from practices and games in a timely manner.
- Ensure any and all phone chain information is passed on as quickly as it is received.
- Promote positive feedback to all players and referees, refraining from any and all negative comments.
- Understand that my child’s skill level will differ from the other players, and will respect my child for what he or she can bring to the game.
- Help oversee the game and practice areas, making sure litter and trash are removed.
- Support the coaches and players when requested to do so, by providing fruit at halftime for travel team games.
- Provide constructive criticism and positive feedback for improvement of the Club’s programs and activities.
- Understand and appreciate the fact that coaches and club members are volunteers, appreciating their time and commitment to my child.
- Demonstrate appropriate behavior at all times, by making positive comments only. I will encourage the entire team, and not just my child.
- Refrain from questioning or verbally abusing the referee and/or coach.
- Refrain from coaching from the sidelines.
